Life as a Senior Consultant

Rudi Le Roux

Risk and Compliance specialist

My background is in financial services, as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Risk Officer, being responsible and leading most operational and support functions including compliance, regulatory operations and risk management.

I am currently working with a client to help them mature their Risk Management Framework and I am soon starting an engagement that will focus on the consolidation and development of a client’s Risk & Compliance policies.

CBO is a growing team with diverse backgrounds and exceptional experience across a wide variety of industries. Working with this team, directly or indirectly, is key to each engagement’s success, as you have all this experience at your fingertips. I have found the team to be very open and engaging, willing to share their knowledge to help me and the clients I am engaged with. Their support has been instrumental to the delivery of the projects I have been working on. And on top of that, they are super fun to work with!

Sue Watson

Business Analysis

I am an experienced senior consultant with specialist qualifications and experience in business analysis and project management. I have always enjoyed working with varied clients and project types, and CBO certainly enables me to do that – I have been involved with global law firm ERP implementations, storage audits, waste disposal, macro development and everything in between.

Delivering viable solutions within time and on-budget are things I take pride in; I also take pleasure in playing the middleman between what major stakeholders would like and what solutions there might actually be. Within CBO, I have found that this often means finding solutions to put forward that haven’t even been considered.

I am lucky to work with a highly skilled, amusing, and sociable team who never fail to provide support and camaraderie, the breadth of knowledge means there is always someone to advise and bounce ideas off if new challenges arise.

Change Management

Prior to joining CBO, I worked for a London-based consultancy firm, delivering large-scale transformation projects with a particular focus on supporting clients deliver and implement change across their organisations.

Within my CBO career I’ve been lucky enough to work with several clients helping them articulate and define their change challenges and collaborate with them to design solutions and approaches to address these and achieve their desired outcomes. This has included working with a law firm on re-engineering their client on-boarding process (and the cultural shift that this involved), and supporting an insurance firm meet their regulatory obligations under the SM&CR regime.

CBO is a small firm, but one with a big footprint. The range of our clients and the breadth of work we do for them is impressive and provides plenty of opportunity for challenging and rewarding engagements. We are privileged to work alongside our clients, acting as trusted advisors. The CBO team is fun, dynamic and accessible when you need support, working in a collegiate and collaborative manner together.
