Ed Mason-Smith to lead CBO’s Project Services following promotion

Project and Programme Management expert, Ed Mason-Smith has been promoted to service line director, heading up CBO’s Project Services.

Mr Mason-Smith, the first member of the team to join CBO after its founding directors, is now responsible for driving forward CBO’s Project Management, Programme Management, Portfolio Management and Project Health Check services.

‘I will lead on the development of the internal and external maturity of CBO’s Project Services, alongside the other service lines. The new role gives me the opportunity to be at the heart of and influence CBO’s exciting future,’ said Mr Mason-Smith.

‘It allows me to shape Project Services – a core part of the CBO offering – putting a focus on best practice and quality for our clients. I’m looking forward to building on CBO’s extensive experience and knowledge in Project Management, leading us to deliver better projects for our current and future clients.’

Mr Mason-Smith has a wealth of experience in project management and worked for a British multinational energy company and the States of Guernsey before joining CBO in 2017.

‘Ed is a well-respected and well-established member of our team at CBO and is the perfect person to take on the role of being the internal and external lead on CBOs strive for project delivery excellence, building on the experience and expertise of the CBO team,’ said CEO Philip Smith.

‘Ed will continue to bring together the CBO principles of quality, value, flexibility and reliability into a structured service line, ensuring we continue to lead the way with project, programme and portfolio management.​’

Mr Mason-Smith will continue to draw on his passion for advancing the Project Management Profession as a member of the committee for the Association of Project Management (APM) in the Channel Islands alongside his new role.
