CBO Supports Future Consultants

Work Experience

The future of project and change management is obviously of great importance to CBO. We are always looking for people with the right drive and knowledge to join our ever-growing team of industry experts. To inspire a new generation of consultants, CBO regularly host work experience placements and interns, supporting them to have a taste of what it’s like to work in our industry. It’s often a lot more diverse than they may realise, with so many areas of specialism that they could focus on.

We always seek to give the young people who join us challenging and real work, so that they leave with meaningful experiences that both help them make career choices and impress interviewers in the future – no days of filing and photocopying here!

We’ve always been impressed by the intelligence, interest and engagement that we see from young people in return – and recently, we were excited to bring Finn Collinson on board to experience life at CBO.

What Finn had to say:

“In June 2023, I did a week of work experience with CBO projects. Upon arrival, I was greeted and introduced to the team at CBO and given a useful outline of project management and its role in the economy; later I was given a more in-depth overview.

CBO provided me with two projects to work on throughout the week, and two project managers to assist me with my work. I worked closely with them throughout the week, providing me with useful information and tips about my projects.

Throughout the week, I had various opportunities to meet with people of varying roles in the business, allowing me to ask any questions that I had concerning project management; also allowing me to gain a broader understanding of the type of work that CBO undertakes. I found this very helpful and interesting, as it allowed me to solidify any queries I had, and also to connect everyone at the business.

Overall, I enjoyed my time with CBO, and would recommend work experience at CBO to anyone interested!”
