Senior Data Solutions Consultant

This is a pivotal role in CBO’s growing Data and Technology service line.

The Senior Data Solutions Consultant will use their specialist skills and wider management experience to both lead client engagements and support colleagues to develop and thrive in their data-oriented careers.

As a Senior Data Solutions Consultant, you will lead data-orientated engagements with clients across multiple sectors. You will also play a key role in the wider development of our Data and Business Technology service line, using your expertise and experience to help develop our proposition, relationships with clients, and our team.

Examples of engagements you would have the opportunity to deliver within this role include:

  • Assessing, designing and implementing sustainable and successful data strategies and operational models.
  • Guiding organisations, in developing and embedding data governance frameworks aligned with best practices such as DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Ensuring data solution deliverables meet high governance, compliance, security, and regulatory standards.
  • Building and implementing analytics and business intelligence solutions to provide clients with actionable insights that drive improved business performance.
  • Developing interactive dashboards and reports that translate complex data into meaningful, visual representations for stakeholders at all levels.
  • Designing and delivering automation solutions to optimise data processes, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing manual workload.
  • Delivering system integration projects, ensuring seamless data flow across different platforms and systems, enabling unified data ecosystems.

As a Senior Data Solutions Consultant, you will support the development of junior team members through knowledge sharing. You may also act as line manager for members of the team.

We are seeking an individual with the following skills and competencies:

  • Experience in data strategy, governance, analytics, and technology integration, ideally within consultancy roles.
  • Proven leadership in managing complex data projects with a focus on quality.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
  • Great project management skills and the ability to bring the abstract into focus.
  • Formal qualifications in data analysis, data science, or a related field.
  • Strong mentoring abilities and experience in business development is desirable.
  • Familiarity with low code/no code platforms is advantageous.

A successful candidate would possess a number of the following technical skillsets;

  • Business Intelligence, Data Visualisation, and Analytics – Power BI, Tableau, Databricks. Python/R, SQL, Microsoft Fabric
  • Data Management and Engineering – SQL, ETL Tools, Databricks, Data Integration Tools
  • Automation and Scripting – PowerShell, Python/R, RPA Tools
  • Development and Integration – JavaScript, API Management Tools, LCNC Platforms (MS PowerPlatform, Zapier), Microsoft Fabric
